Since then, all euro-area countries have been permitted to strike a 2-euro commemorative coin once a year to mark special occasions. The idea for the website zwei-euro.com was born, and the site went live for the first time in August 2004.
Over its now twenty years of existence, the project has grown into the leading source of information for many collectors. We see ourselves as a website "for the collector" and are therefore always open and grateful for suggestions and proposals.
