Country information

Lithuania is the southernmost of the three Baltic states and borders the Baltic Sea. After decades as a Soviet republic, it regained its independence in 1990 and joined the European Union in 2004. Lithuania introduced the euro on 1 January 2015. Its capital is Vilnius.
