Hosting & server logs

This website is a static site delivered by a hosting provider (Netlify). When it is accessed, technically necessary access data (IP address, time, file retrieved, browser type) are processed to ensure delivery and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). There is no tracking and no profiling.

Reach measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

For the statistical analysis of website usage we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). The service is cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no local storage and does not create a cross-device user profile (no fingerprinting). Only aggregated metrics are collected, such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate region of origin and browser/device type; the IP address is processed only transiently and is neither stored permanently nor linked to individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); since no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. To deliver the measurement script, data may be transferred to Cloudflare in the USA, safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Cookies

We use technically necessary cookies to provide the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, § 25(2) TDDDG). Fonts and assets are self-hosted. We use cookies and comparable technologies for advertising and embedded third-party services (Google AdSense, Steady) only with your consent – see "Consent management".

Consent management (consent banner)

On your first visit we obtain your consent to the use of non-essential cookies and embedded services via a consent banner (Google Funding Choices, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG). Your choice is stored and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the banner. To finance the site we embed advertisements via Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (address as above). Steady (membership)

For memberships and support options we embed a widget from Steady Media GmbH (Frankfurt am Main). The widget is only loaded after your consent via the consent banner. Data (including IP address, cookies) may be transmitted to Steady. If you take out a membership or log in, Steady processes the data you provide as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Newsletter

For the newsletter we use the double opt-in procedure (confirmation by email). Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) via our dispatch service provider Kit (Kit.com, Inc., USA). Personal data is transferred to the USA; the transfer is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link.
