Market prices & rarity

What a 2-euro coin is worth depends above all on mintage, condition and demand. The lower the mintage, the rarer – and usually the more valuable.

Our rarity scale

Very common – struck in the millions, face value. Found in circulation.
€€Common – small collector premium.
€€€Medium – sought-after issues, clear premium.
€€€€Rare – low mintage, often microstates.
€€€€€Very rare – top pieces such as Monaco 2007 (Grace Kelly).

Note: market values are guide prices for uncirculated pieces and fluctuate with demand.
