Croatia Announces Themes for 2-Euro Commemorative Coins 2026: "City of Vukovar" in the Series "Croatian Cities" and "100 Years of Croatian Broadcasting"

The themes for Croatia's 2-euro commemorative coins for 2026 have been announced.

The first coin's theme is "City of Vukovar" in the series "Croatian Cities." Based on issues released to date, Croatia appears to be reviving the designs of its former kuna banknotes on its 2-euro commemorative coins. The obverse is therefore likely to feature the 18th-century Eltz Castle alongside the issuing state "HRVATSKA" and the year "2026." The twelve stars of the European flag will appear on the outer ring. The coin is expected to have a mintage of approximately 200,000, including 5,000 in BU coincard.

The second coin's theme is "100 Years of Croatian Broadcasting." The obverse will feature the issuing state "HRVATSKA" and the year "2026" alongside the main design.
