The design of Spain's second 2-euro commemorative coin for 2025 was announced today. The 16th coin in the "UNESCO World Heritage" series features the theme "Old Town of Salamanca." The obverse depicts the Church and Monastery of San Esteban of the Dominican Order. Along the upper right, the commemorative inscription "SALAMANCA" is shown, with below it the mint mark of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre Real Casa de la Moneda – the crowned "M." Along the lower edge, the issuing country "ESPAÑA" and the year "2025" are shown. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is scheduled for the first quarter with a mintage of 2 million pieces.
