Münze Deutschland has issued Germany's second 2-euro commemorative coin for 2026. The coin's theme is "Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° East," part of the "Federal States II" series launched in 2023, in which a different federal state and its most iconic landmark are honoured each year. The obverse depicts the Klimahaus in Bremerhaven, showcasing the futuristic knowledge and experience centre from a striking perspective looking up from below. The ship-like architecture, two seagulls, and an evocative suggestion of the harbour underline Bremen's identity as a maritime centre of science. The commemorative inscription "BREMEN" appears to the right; the country code "D" for the issuing state at the upper rim; the year "2026" at the lower rim; and the respective mint mark "A," "D," "F," "G" or "J" to the left of the design. The coin designer's initials are also included. The twelve stars of the European flag are on the outer ring. Designed by Bodo Broschat, the coin is issued with a mintage of 30 million, including 15,000 per mint mark in BU folder and 17,500 per mint mark in proof folder.
