Monaco's second 2-euro commemorative coin of 2025 has been issued. The theme is "The Ancient Grimaldi Fief: Les Baux". The obverse features a central image of the famous rocky outcrop of Les Baux-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) in its present state, with the surrounding village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Along the upper rim, the country name "MONACO" appears against a chequered shield on the left and a star representing Les Baux on the right. Along the lower rim, the commemorative inscription "MARQUISAT DES BAUX" is displayed, along with the issue year "2025"; the mint marks of the Monnaie de Paris and Chief Engraver Joaquin Jimenez appear on the left rim. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The second coin is also issued in a proof set edition of 15,000 pieces.
