The design for Monaco's second 2025 2-euro commemorative coin has been published. The theme is "The Ancient Grimaldi Fief: Les Baux". The obverse features a central image of the famous rocky outcrop of Les Baux-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) in its present state, with the surrounding village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Along the upper rim, the country name "MONACO" appears against a chequered shield, with the star representing Les Baux on the other side. Along the lower rim, the commemorative inscription "MARQUISAT DES BAUX" is displayed along with the issue year "2025", and the mint marks of the Monnaie de Paris and Chief Engraver Joaquin Jimenez. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The second coin is expected to be issued in November in a proof set edition of 15,000 pieces.
