The themes for San Marino's two 2026 2-euro commemorative coins have been announced.
The first coin is dedicated to the "450th Anniversary of the Death of Titian". The obverse will feature the design alongside the country name "SAN MARINO", the "R" mint mark for the Rome Mint, the commemorative inscription, the year "2026" and the designer's initials. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected in a mintage that has not yet been announced (estimated at approximately 59,000 pieces based on the previous year, including 56,000 BU coincards, 3,000 proof sets and 4,000 reverse proof pieces).
The second coin is dedicated to the "800th Anniversary of the Death of Francis of Assisi". The obverse will feature the design alongside the country name "SAN MARINO", the "R" mint mark for the Rome Mint, the commemorative inscription, the year "2026" and the designer's initials. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag.
