San Marino's first 2-euro commemorative coin for 2026, "450th Anniversary of the Death of Titian," has been issued. The coin's theme is "450th Anniversary of the Death of Titian." The obverse features an allegorical representation of Wisdom at its centre, drawn from a 1564 ceiling painting by Titian in the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice. The commemorative inscription "TIZIAN" and the issuing state "SAN MARINO" run along the upper left rim; the "R" of the Rome Mint appears to the right; and the years "1576 ● 2025" at the lower right. The initials "SC" of coin designer Silvia Ciucci at the lower rim complete the design. The twelve stars of the European flag are on the outer ring. Designed by Silvia Ciucci, the coin has a total mintage of 60,000, including 52,000 in BU coincard and 5,000 each in proof and reverse proof.
