The design for Slovakia's second 2-euro commemorative coin of 2026 has been revealed. The theme is "50th Anniversary of the Czechoslovak Football Team's Victory at Euro 1976". The obverse shows a footballer with the ball at his right foot, flanked on both sides by two curved branches. A gently arching line beneath the player's feet suggests the surface of the pitch. The country name "SLOVENSKO" and the issue year "2026" appear along the lower rim, while the commemorative inscription "MAJSTRI EURÓPY 1976" is incorporated into the design. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. Designed by Matěj Hanuš, the coin is scheduled for release in June 2026 in a mintage of approximately 1 million pieces, including 5,000 in a proof case.
