Spain's FNMT also presented the struck specimens of its 2025 2-euro commemorative coin at its stand at the World Money Fair in Berlin today, and the coin was officially issued in a BU fair mint set. The 16th coin in the "UNESCO World Heritage" series features the theme "Old Town of Salamanca." The obverse depicts the Church and Monastery of San Esteban of the Dominican Order. Along the upper right, the commemorative inscription "SALAMANCA" is shown, with below it the mint mark of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre Real Casa de la Moneda – the crowned "M." Along the lower edge, the issuing country "ESPAÑA" and the year "2025" are shown. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin, designed by Alfonso Morales Múñoz, is scheduled for the first quarter with a mintage of 2 million pieces, including 2,500 in a fair mint set and approximately 12,000 in a BU mint set.
