The theme of Slovakia's 2026 2-euro commemorative coin has been announced today. The theme is: "Trenčín – European Capital of Culture 2026." The obverse will feature, alongside the design, the issuing country "SLOVENSKO" and the year "2026." The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected to be issued with a mintage of approximately 1 million pieces, including 5,000 in a proof presentation case.
