About the series
With the series "Regions of Latvia" (2016–2025), Latvia portrayed its historic cultural regions Vidzeme, Kurzeme, Latgale, Zemgale and Sēlija together with their coats of arms. The final issue of this series did not appear until 2025, seven years after the previous coin was released.
