Since 2025, Monaco has dedicated a series to the historic fiefs of the Grimaldi family – territories in France that were connected to the princely house for centuries. It opened in 2025 with two issues (Carladès and Baux), followed by Valentinois in 2026.

With the series “The Ancient Grimaldi Fiefs”, Monaco has, since 2025, been commemorating territories historically connected to the House of Grimaldi – the Viscounty of Carladès, the Marquisate of Les Baux and the Duchy of Valentinois, all located in present-day France. Each edition honours one of these fiefs and its significance for the history of the dynasty.
