At the centre the centenary numeral "100", composed of the digit "1", the 1-franc coin with the Feierstëppler of 1924, and Grand Duke Henri's monogram in the second zero. The issuing state "LËTZEBUERG" and the year "2024" appear above the design; the commemorative inscription "FEIERSTËPPLER" below. The mint mark of the Paris Mint, the designer Chiara Principe's initials "CP", and the engraver-general Joaquin Jimenez's mint mark are placed along the lower edge.
This coin was also issued as a photorealistic strike in a mintage of just 2,500. The 1-franc coin featuring the Feierstëppler was rendered photorealistically. This variant is only included in the official coin set.
In 1924 Luxembourg issued its own franc coins for the first time — a milestone for the country's monetary sovereignty after the First World War. Their defining motif was the “Feierstëppler”, a steelworker by sculptor Auguste Trémont guiding the molten iron at the blast furnace. The figure became an emblem of Luxembourg's steel industry and remained on the circulating coins for decades. The 2024 coin honours this centenary.
