Belgium's second 2025 2-euro commemorative coin has been issued. The theme is "Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps". The obverse features a central image of the current circuit layout. On the left, the total circuit length "7.004 M" and the year of construction "1921" are shown. Above the circuit design, the commemorative inscription "CIRCUIT DE SPA FRANCORCHAMPS" is visible. Along the lower rim, the country code "BE" and the issue year "2025" are shown, accompanied by the mint marks of the Royal Dutch Mint and the serving Belgian Mint Master Giovanni Van de Velde. To the right, the initials "IB" of designer Iris Bruijns appear. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected to have a total mintage of approximately 155,000 pieces, including 75,000 each in Flemish and French-language BU coincards and 5,000 proof pieces. Whether approximately 1 million additional pieces will later be released for general circulation has not yet been confirmed.
