Design Published for Finland's Second 2025 2-Euro Commemorative Coin: 100 Years of the Finland–Sweden Athletics Match

The Official Journal of the European Commission (Document 11091/25) has published the design for Finland's second 2025 2-euro commemorative coin. The theme is "100 Years of the Finland–Sweden Athletics Match". The obverse depicts two legs in motion alongside curved dashed lines representing a running track. The design commemorates the centenary of the Finland–Sweden Athletics Championship, honouring both Finnish sporting tradition and the event's spirit of community. The year "2025" is shown horizontally along the upper rim. The Caduceus mint mark of the Dutch Mint is positioned to the left of the design, with the country code "FI" on the right. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected to be issued in autumn in a mintage of 204,000 pieces.
