The designs for San Marino's two 2-euro commemorative coins for 2026 have been revealed.
The first coin is dedicated to the "450th Anniversary of the Death of Titian". The obverse features a central allegorical representation of Wisdom from Titian's 1564 ceiling painting housed in the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice. The inscription "TIZIANO" and the issuing state "SAN MARINO" run along the upper left rim, the "R" mint mark for the Rome Mint appears on the right, and the years "1576 ● 2026" are positioned at the lower right. The initials "SC" of designer Silvia Ciucci at the bottom complete the design. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag.
The second coin is dedicated to the "800th Anniversary of the Death of Francis of Assisi". The obverse depicts the taming of the Wolf of Gubbio by St. Francis of Assisi. Running along the rim from left to right are the issuing state "SAN MARINO", the commemorative inscription "FRANCESCO D'ASSISI", the years "1226–2026" and the initials "F.TAURINO" of the designer. The "R" mint mark for Rome appears to the left of the design. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag.
