Finland's first 2-euro commemorative coin for 2025 was issued today. The theme is "State Visits of Finland – Diplomacy and Foreign Policy." The obverse features an abstract door symbolising state visits, set within a highly polished rectangle. The mint mark, the year "2025," and the country abbreviation "FI" are arranged vertically along the left edge. The rounded top of the rectangle follows the coin's rim. On the right-hand side, the surface is ribbed with horizontal lines, while a circle cuts through the curve of the design field. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin, designed by Sinikka Inkeroinen-Huhta & Ilkka Huhta, is issued with a mintage of 204,000 pieces, including 62,500 each in Finnish/Swedish and English-language BU coincards, as well as 4,000 in a proof presentation case.
