The themes of both Luxembourg 2-euro commemorative coins for 2026 were announced today. The theme of the first coin is "40th Anniversary of the Charlemagne Prize Awarded to the People of Luxembourg." The obverse will feature, alongside the design, the issuing country "LUXEMBOURG," the year "2026," and the mint marks of the French mint and chief engraver Joaquin Jimenez. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The mintage has not yet been announced.

The theme of the second coin is "Accession and 45th Birthday of Grand Duke Guillaume." The obverse will feature, alongside the design, the issuing country "LËTZEBUERG," the year "2026," and the mint marks of the French mint and chief engraver Joaquin Jimenez. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The mintage has not yet been announced.
