The Right Place for Your Collection
Coin frames are a genuine alternative to the popular coin capsule and are available in almost every size. Unlike capsules, they can be labelled, giving the collector an excellent overview of the collection. The initial cost is very low, though frames are single-use items.
Coin frames come in two variants:
- Self-adhesive frames: simply pressed together to activate the adhesive, sealing the coin airtight against environmental influences. Tip: when storing frames in slide boxes or loose in a drawer, it is advisable to staple them as well, as they can otherwise open over time.
- Staple frames: pressed together and then secured with four staples.
Coin frames are ideal for the budget-conscious collector who places little emphasis on edge visibility or structural rigidity. When buying, it is essential to ensure that the frames are plasticiser-free.
