The designs of both Luxembourg 2-euro commemorative coins for 2026 have been announced.

The first coin's theme is "Accession and 45th Birthday of Grand Duke Guillaume." The obverse features a central portrait of the new Grand Duke Guillaume, facing left. Running along the upper rim is the commemorative inscription "GROUSSHERZOG GIULLAUME VU LËTZEBUERG," with the year "2026" to the right. Along the lower rim appear his date of birth "*11.11.1981" and the date of his accession "3.10.2025." The mint marks of the French mint, chief engraver Joaquin Jimenez, and coin designer Chiara Principe are positioned below and to the right of the portrait. The twelve stars of the European flag are on the outer ring. The coin is planned for July with a total mintage of 131,000, including 7,500 in BU coincard, 2,500 in BU coin set, and 1,000 in proof.

The second coin's theme is "Award of the International Charlemagne Prize to the People of Luxembourg." The obverse features the Charlemagne Prize medal with its pendant at centre. Running along the left rim is part of the commemorative inscription "PEUPLE LUXEMBOURGEOIS," with "PRIX CHARLEMAGNE 1986" at the lower right. The year "2026" appears at the lower rim, and the mint marks of the French mint, chief engraver Joaquin Jimenez, and coin designer Chiara Principe are placed at the upper right. The twelve stars of the European flag are on the outer ring. The coin is planned for July with a total mintage of 131,000, including 7,500 in BU coincard, 2,500 in BU coin set, and 1,000 in proof.
