The themes for Estonia's 2027 2-euro commemorative coins have been announced.
The first coin in the new "Counties of Estonia" series is dedicated to "Hiiu County". The obverse will feature the main design alongside the inscription "Hiiu maakond", the country name "EESTI" and the year "2027". The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected to be issued in 2027 in a mintage of approximately 1 million pieces, including 12,000 BU coincards.
The second coin in the new "Resistance" series is dedicated to "Veterans of the Estonian Defence Forces". The obverse will feature the main design alongside the commemorative inscription, the country name "EESTI" and the year "2027". The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European flag. The coin is expected to be issued in 2027 in a mintage of approximately 1 million pieces, including 12,000 BU coincards.
